In addition, a completed copy of signed cover letter along with the signed copyright assignment form (available from the Journal site) should be provided

Article Submission:

  • The manuscript should not have been published or considered for publication in any other Journals. Any contradiction to the above statement will lead to the automatic withdrawal of the manuscript.
  • In case of any financial support, it is important to mention the name of the respective organization/institute and the project number at the end of the manuscript. A written consent on the part of the organization/institute must be provided allowing the publication of the manuscript in the Journal.
  • ISJ editorial office will only accept manuscripts developed from approved theses or projects of official universities or research institutes.
  • Only review articles from expert researchers that have substantial amount of reporting in that particular field are accepted for publication.
  • The number of manuscript pages should not exceed 26 pages (including the text, figures and tables). Essays, Book Reviews and Case Studies must not exceed 12 pages.
  • Title page should include the title of the manuscript, name/surname(s) and author(s) affiliation(s), email, along with the contact information of the corresponding address.
  • One figure or table is required per 3-4 pages of text. Figures must be original, self-explanatory, and of high quality and precision.
  • In case of abbreviations and Latin names, the full name should be written out for the first time in the title, abstract and body of the text with the abbreviation brought in parenthesis next to it. For example, ISJ should be written as follows: International Studies Journal (ISJ)

  

Structure of Original Research Articles

The articles should include:

  • Title
  • Abstract with subheadings of background and aim, Methods and Materials, Results and Conclusion, at most with 200 words. 4-6 keywords (should be in title and abstract)
  • Introduction (justification for doing the research, review on other studies, objectives of the study)
  • Materials and Methods (type of research, method of research, statistical software)
  • Results (reporting the results of research)
  • Discussion (discussing the results, comparing the results with that of similar studies, practical application of results, limitations of the research)
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgment
  • References (references should be according to the section of “References”)

 Structure of Case Studies

Case Studies should include:

 

  • Title
  • Abstract with subheadings of Introduction, Case Study, Conclusion 3-5 Keywords (should be exist in title and abstract)
  • Introduction (importance and justification for the rareness of the case reported)
  • Case study and report
  • Discussion
  • References (references should be numbered consecutively in order of citation in the text, style should be according to the section of “References”)

 

Citations in the References Page:

 a – Persian versions: print surnames and initials of all authors when there are six or less (in case of seven or more authors the first six must be followed by et al), Year “Title of manuscript,” Name of journal, Vol, (No), page.

b – English versions: print surnames and initials of all authors when there are six or less (in case of seven or more authors the first six authors followed by et al should be listed), Year, “Title of manuscript,” Abbreviated name of journal, Vol, (No), page.
