Interview With Former President Mohammad Khatami

Tehran, 15 May 2014 - Former President Mohammad Khatami called on all intellectuals and benevolent people from across the globe to do their best and unite efforts for achieving sustainable peace in the world.

 In his message to the International Conference on Dialogue for Peace, Security and Human Rights held on the occasion of World Day of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development on 15th May 2014 Hojjatoleslam Khatami said that today significant numbers of people are deprived of their basic human rights.

Former Iranian President, who was the initiator of “Dialogue among Civilizations” in his message which was read by Professor Mehdi Zakerian of Islamic Azad University and the editor-in-chief of ISJ  reiterated that in order to have real peace in the world, national and international systems are needed that are based on respect for human dignity and recognition of individuals’ rights.
