Introduction

Following the current events in the world, it is necessary for Middle East countries, e.g., Iran to promote the scientific purposes of international law, international relations, and political science. This moment requires the promotion and so understanding of good governance, human rights, and democracy. The coinciding of our world with the new millennium and the events of 11th September has attracted the attention of scholars in various fields of international studies to such and extent that major research and analytical works have been produced in the academic institutions around the world.

In line with the efforts and collaborations to retain and revere this universal ideal, the International Studies Journal (ISJ) will be published. This journal would serve for identifying and proliferation the ideals and realities of the world, including the responsibilities of the international community.

The ISJ will cover major issues and debates facing the international community on human rights, good governance, international law, and international relations; including conflict prevention, supporting international peace and security, terrorism, and fostering economic and social advancement.
